Light can come from the most unexpected places…So it is with our actions. Our world from many angles might look dark and crumbling, but our actions in it can reflect off of its surface and illuminate the darkest places. The moon’s insistent and steady presence in our darkest nights reminds us that even in the depths of the months of Av, we don’t simply wallow in the rubble of a broken city. Be strong, be strong, and we will strengthen one another. May our actions on this earth reflect light that heals, that brightens and that strengthens one another.
