Dear Colette and Lucie – 

One day, when you’re older, I’m sure you are going to discover Jack Kerouac’s On The Road.  it’s a masterpiece and something everyone should read at least once.

Today, we are going to visit City Lights Books, where many poets and writers – such as Jack Kerouac – were introduced to the world – and the world was never the same after we heard what they had to say.

Also today, one of the blogs I read quoted Jack Kerouac!  What are the chances?!  So it seemed fitting to pass it on to you. 

I thought Kerouac’s words were brilliant, and something Daddy and I want for both of you – to be “mad,” meaning passionate (not just in a romantic way!) about the things and the people you love. Passionate about your family and friends, music, film, art, books, fashion, and anything and everything else you discover on your journey.  It’s a fun and wild ride.  Always feel passionate.  Never settle.
